"Just a Closer Walk with Thee"

Walking / running / biking are some of my favorite pastimes! Not only do I enjoy burning calories, but I enjoy the time I get to spend talking with God in his creation!

My typical walk / jog / bike is 3-5 miles.

You see this stuff everyday, but do you ever actually THINK about it?!? 

God created this! Every single thing down to the last teeny tiny detail! He knows how many legs are on the centipedes, how many seeds the Black-eyed Susans have, how many hairs are on my head, ect! 

"Ye shall walk in al the ways which The Lord your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess." Deuteronomy 5:24

Happy Father's Day!

Father's Day is such a great holiday! :) 

You get to celebrate your love for your Daddy! The one who loves and cares so much for you just as our Heavenly Father- Jesus Christ! :) He layed down his life for us just as my fleshly father would do for me. That is the deepest love you can have with someone!

 

We got him a top notch Keurig so he may further his coffee addiction. ;)

My husband is also a Father to our little Fur Baby, Cobalt!

You know how when you're looking online on fitness pages, ect. people say things like, "what you eat in private shows up on the outside!" Then people want to know your story as to what you did in private for your success! 

Have you ever thought about that spiritually? 

"...I am the bread which came down from Heaven." - John 6:41

We all fall short and only eat this bread at church! Depriving ourselves of delicious flaky melt-in-your-mouth bread!

What if we started eating more of the bread of life in private instead of in public? (No, I'm not saying it's a bad thing to hear the gospel at church)

Don't you think it would show up more on the outside? 

Jesus is the bread of life

"...I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believes on me shall never thirst." - John 6:35

God is also light! 

"...God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." -1 John 1:5

(Bare with me here)

Ok. God is light and he is also bread. So if we EAT the bread and it dwells within us, the light of The Lord will shine through us! 

"For ye were sometimes in darkness, but now are ye light in The Lord: walk as children of light" - Ephesians: 5:8

When we were alone (in darkness) and we were fed the bread. Now in the open we walk as children of light! What we ATE in PRIVATE shows up in PUBLIC so that you can share your experiences with Jesus!

"Give us this day, our daily bread." -Matthew 6:11
